Follow up with a threat of legal action. It only costs ?30 to go to County Court. Usually works for me!

Nearly right. Follow up with an inflated badger and a vulture and let nature take its course... whistle:

Life is soooooooooo much easier when you only have yourself to answer to ~ though I doubt that Nick has that comfort.

I'm currently chasing payment over here for some services provided back in Jan that 'still' haven't been paid for cussing: The kick in the goolies for me is that this person (obviously can't and wouldn't say who, but would love to) is supposed to be a SIR (probably bought off the internet) and is also advertsing his own security business over here in full page gloosy ads, and said security services also inlude body guard protection Banghead
I'm going to pop by eyes: his shop this week, with the tame vultures on tow of course, and then we'll see what excuse the scummy little cheap basket will make to my face eyes: eyes: eyes:

One of my customers has just one day left before I serve some small claims court papers on them.
I eagerly await the posty.
Obviously for legal reasons I cannot say who this company is that have owed me ?76.38 for over 2 years now, but needless to say they are in for a shock if they think I'm bluffing.
Just wish I'd done this months ago. Paperwork and me just don't get on though sadly and no one 'round here ever offers to help me. ::)
RAC WINDSCREENS, CHESTER , 0800 181 500
Pay your bills you bastards! evil:
-
Do you have an order number from our regional office sir?
No? Ah that'll explain why we haven't paid you or responded to your calls and letters for two years.
Oh yes I've been there. ::)

Yes I do, and yes I have sent in copies of the invoices (always a favourite one that...can we have a copy as we've mislaid the original ::) )
Posty has been. No c/q from this unmentionable company due to impending legal action, RAC WINDSCREENS, CHESTER, tel. 0800 181 500, so I gues it's going to be one final phone call and then a trip to see the judge.
Don't these tits realise that it's going to cost them dearly?
Invoice + intrest+ court costs+travelling costs for me to go to Chesterfield court+ loss of earnings+ out sundry of pocket expenses.
Had all this with a well known car company called Henley's (Jag & Rolls) 8 years ago.
The chief accountant turned up at court, and claimed he only found out about the outstanding debt the day before the hearing!
He settled outside the court house.

Usual scenario with these people mate ~ always blame the "little people" but they will always settle eventually to avoid an adverse credit report. The thing is the rely on the "little people" not actually going to court.
BTW did you know you can now do it all on the net (if the debt is under ?5k) and if they "No show" it will be awarded to you by default anyway? Then your only problem is getting them to pay once you have obtained the judgement. I have had them refusing until I've had the bailiffs measuring the MD's Carpets.

I'm actually a half decent size, so that normally is sufficient to put the shits up 'em. eveilgrin:
I didn't know about this small claims on line method.
Tell me more. Have you used it, and is it cheaper to get the ball rolling?
-
I am in the middle of a largish CC claim where I am suing a multi million pound company that thinks it has the financial muscle to fight me off.
I must admit that it is a larger company than the last one I knocked down to size - but it's a hell of a hobby! eyes:
I am also representing A N Other in a separate action that has become 8 months overdue.
When I win... ;) I can tell you all about it.
That'll be my law school fees paid for then.... eyes:
Come on Growler, don't be shy. Don't say no one will help.

Slightly unrelated, but talking about BIG companies, I had Royal Sun Alliance threatening me 5 years ago...car nicked whilst in my charge etc etc., longish story.
The dealer was paid out for the loss, so the insurance decided to take me on to get it back.
I admitted 25% liability and sent them a c/q. This was retuirned saying they wanted payment in full. I told them to get stuffed, and see you in court.
Strange. I've never heard from them since.
They've got 1 more year to take me on apparently, but the solicitor reckons they decided it wasn't woth the hassle and bad publicity if they lost.

I haven't used it personally but our treasurer (magazine) suggested we should use it for advertisers who don't pay as it saves having to go to the court to lodge the papers etc. Costs and all details can be found at:

The chasing of this bad debt goes on (and on and on and on and I think yuo get the picture !)
Since the last post the most recent avoidance methods employed by the scum is that after being able on Tuesday 24th July to contact both Directors of this company on their previous mobile numbers both have suddenly changed mobile numbers (wonder why) but I am using their 'special' 24 hour contact number they post on their security (don't make me laugh) web site which they can't turned off...otherwise they might use customers themselves
I have now been advised by the 2nd Director (who is frankly a little weasel) that 1st Director (the Sir) is away back in the UK until Monday next week but he promises me that it will all be sorted out immediately Sir gets back and that I will have our owed money by the end of the week ..... am I supposed to be grateful they are now (maybe) going to pay their bill from Jan and May of this year Angry9:
I will have to see what happens by next Wednesday but I am already training up the Company vultures for a fly by of thier premises ............. Either that or I'll stop by Sir's posie Bentley and key the paintwork cussing:

Would you like me to ask my cousin Alfredo Selezzione to pop over from Sicily and explain to 'Sir' the benefits of retiring with a full quota of kneecaps?
