WHen I got the new pooter it came with Office 2010 installed. However, I was only permitted to use it about 25 times before it demanded a product key. That is expensive! evil:
Sooooo, I cunningly downloaded Office 2007 and have been using that ever since, but I can only use it eight more times until it too goes dormant.
I have got round this so far by leaving Office open at all times (24/7) but the pooter occasionally reboots.
Short of enriching Bill Gates further by coughing up, is there any way around this??

You can have my Office 97 original disc for £5. whistle:

Try www.OpenOffice.org (ftp://www.OpenOffice.org) it is the same as the microsoft rubbish but has been developed by the linux programmers who hate Mr Gate$ and his corporation.
And it is free. angel1

Exactly what I was going to suggest.
I bought "2007 Home and Student" from Amazon but even that is only installable on 3 PCs and I've used that allowance up. Also every time I try to use it it tells me it is an an unauthorised copy ..... despite my having registered it with them. Their help desk cannot explain this and told me to simply click on "Remind me later" Banghead
"Open Office" for me in future!
-
A quick word of warning.
Oracle (the new "owners" of Open Office), look as though they want some money for a product that is quite popular and so the future looks a bit grim.
There is a new offshoot (fork is the term used) called Libris (I think, spelling may be wrong)
A battle is looming.
As for MS Office, get the home/student version, cheap and up to 3 installs IRC.

You can get a single install ~ I went for the three.
See Amazon for good price.
Have now checked Amazon and 2010 for three users is cheaper that 2007.
2010 Home & Student is £85.65 and 2007 is now £129.99
Very little savings on single user licensed versions.

Nick, given that you charge ££££££££££££££s per hour (or part thereof) why don't you just stop pissing about and buy the thing... ::)
Failing that, OpenOffice....
