Title: Invitation Etiquette
Post by: Miss Demeanour on October 08, 2010, 08:09:47 AM
We are planning a bit of a girly holiday for a week next year..... 6 girls ( no age restriction placed on the term girl here by the way  whistle: )  go mad in Turkey kinda thing  redface:

The invites and availability requests have been sent out but as we are staying in a villa , space is restricted. This has all been explained to everyone. So why then does one of the girls come back and say ..can I bring my partner ?

Err no ... noooo:

The invite was only to you , not you and your partner , or you and your family   Banghead

So she comes back and says that her partner may not want her to come on her own ....well that's just fine and dandy , don't come then. We have others we can invite.

Then  she suggests that they hire another villa in the vicinity and join us that way   Banghead Banghead Banghead

Err noooooooo Banghead Banghead Banghead

Why do people do this when they receive invites...if they wanted your kids at a wedding they would have said so , if they want to invite partners they would have said so.

Don't push yer luck  evil:

That my dear man is a completely different scenario.

The woman who's villa it is is also arranging for a boat trip for a day or two and is handpicking the crew  eyes:
