Title: The recession bites
Post by: Nick on July 27, 2010, 09:49:27 AM
 evil:

An outfit I have done work for for over twenty years has just e mailed me about a change to their terms. Hitherto they have paid a dayrate + expenses. They are moving to a flat hourly rate with immediate effect. By my calculations the new hourly rate will HALVE my daily rate.

The e mail invites me to accept or decline. If I decline they will kiss me goodbye.

Harlow advice. Do not leave your hotel room. Take loads of books / DVDs etc.  The countryside (if you care to escape), is delightful and I'm sure UM can advise on local country pubs  ;)
