Explode:
Nick. Have you got the latest edition of this highly expensive A3 size (i think) 'free' 'Talking Together' 16 page magazine that all residents of Cheshire bastard West are receiving that this cctv article is in?
WTF can they possibly think of to waste public money on next...apart from these cctv scamera cars that they are now running and maning? Banghead
-
...oh, and if you have, can you look at that picture and confirm or at least give your opinion as to wheather that scamera car is ...as I think...parked outside a school on and in the 'yellow strictly no stopping zig zag zone.' eeek:
-
OI BOLLOX!! cussing:
YOU AWAKE? Banghead
I'm waiting for a response to my 'picture' question before I rip into the bass turds via an extremely stroppy email. eveilgrin:

A fleet of new Vauhall Corsa's with a cctv camera nailed onto the roof driven around by arse holes that can't find a proper job, taking pictures of anyone that parks illegally anywhere.
Tickets tax demands will then be issued with photos as evidence.
Their first campaign is going to be outside scoooells apprently.
I've worked out that this must initially be costing the local council tax payer somewhere in the region of 70k. censored:

I DO NOT condone any violence or vandalism, BUT.......... cussing:

THAT is the exact article, eveilgrin: and the picture is better and bigger than in the mag., and does in fact now confirm my suspicion. They parked it within the prohibition zig zag zone.
We have photographic evidence, and I WILL be issuing the twats with one of my own 'illegal parking' tickets. eveilgrin:

Inbetween shopping for more doughnuts at our local Tesco Express late shop shop, yes, and yes also, I have seen the plod in their doing just that.

Taking images outside shools too ey, as Mrs Growler has just mentioned. rubschin:

Taking images.
I don't see that it matters one jot wheather the cctv car is moving or stationary tbh.
There could be some perv driving it and operating the scamera for all we know.

There is no law against taking photos outside a school. It being a public place like.

Well I must try it, as the jnr school is only 200yds from here.
I'm sure the mums and dads will be most pleased.
I could be gone quite some time. ::)
Anyway, that is just a side issue.
The main point is that this is just another money grabbing scam.
I haven't seen local indusries grinding to a halt simply because old joe has parked on a single yellow while he quickly nips in the newsagents for a pack of fags.
-
You haven't seen the chaos outside our village school when all the mums are dropping of their sprogs. eeek:
-
We had terrible problems outside The Boy's primary school with people stopping outside the school gates. CHaotic. Occasionally a PCSO turned up and was ignored. The point about these cars is that:
a) they are advertising online which schools they will be checking
b) they are highly distinctive
So, on the days they are on patrol no one will stop on the zig zag line, the rest of the time life will continue as normal.

Depends what you take pictures of or what stupid parents may be around.
We live opposite a school and we have the little Smart car with its extend CCTV stalk. Its supposed to monitor parkin, driving and crossind behaviour. It always parks illegally. Drivers are "informed" of any misdemeanors.
-
Whilst they may well be targeting schools initially, I feel this is just a smoke screen to justify their very exsistance to get the general public sheeples nodding with approval.
The real reason is more sinister, and I see it as just another tax.
The easy target for raking it in is once again, and as usual, the motorist. ::)
They are scraping the barrel now. cussing:

Not the same, but our village dosn't have a 'local' secondary school so the children have to be bussed to Chalfont. You should see all the 4x4s parked outside the local shop, all with their engines running for up to 1/2 hour while they wait for the bus to arrive. Oh and by the way none of them live more than 5 minutes walk away from the shop !

Shouldn't plod be doing this?
No Plod should not. Parking was "devolved" to local authorities some time ago. Plod only get involved if there is an "Obstruction" or "Breach of the Peace". Parking is no longer a matter for the police or PCSOs
-
You also need to know if your council has adopted the new parking laws that were made availabkle earlier this year.

There may not be a law against it, but they can make life difficult if they want (http://www.bjp-online.com/british-journal-of-photography/news/1644048/jail-photographing-police)
