"he kept himself to himself"
Just heard that on the TV regarding the Cumbrian killer. How often is that the case?
-
Well, not today he didn't. 8)
-
Such people do tend to be averse to walking round with "I'm a Nutter" tattooed on their foreheads.
But how many times do you also hear someone say "I always knew he was odd" after the event?
-

That's why I come in here.
Don't really speak to anyone apart from at werk, so all the bottled up frustration and anger gets vented via you's lot rather than from behind the barrel of a shotgun.
I've always said that bottling it up is bad for your health, and now seemingly bad for some poor souls lives too, bloody raging nutter.

Derrick Bird, the taxi driver who massacred 12 people including his twin brother across a series of quiet Cumbrian towns and villages yesterday, had held a gun license for the past 20 years.
But still the calls for more gun controls are being screeched by the Today programme, just like they were after Dunblane (and that nutter had legal guns too). When will they learn that it ain't guns that kill, it's people and even if they took away all the guns (impossible but they would like to) PEOPLE WOULD STILL KILL OTHER PEOPLE.

Expect more knee jerk reactions. Has anyone said "lessons must be learned" yet?
-
All correct of course, but we'll see more useless laws being introduced, and yet another bloody gormless space wasting ammnesty. ::)

Yes. Some random geezer stated those exact werds on the telly news last night. ::)
Haven't actually heard those other imortal weerds yet though....we must ensure this NEVER happens again. sick2:

Some retired "senior policeman" said on Today something along the lines of "Once the reports were all in they would be able to see what lessons were there to be learned" ~ does that count?
-
There are no fooking lessons to be learned. He had the guns legally and he turned out to be a nutter. End of.
-
At least he had the good sense to shoot his solicitor ~ one less to deal with eveilgrin:

Quite right...
What lessons need to be learned is that sometimes shit happens....

Shouldn't have said that really, sorry. redface:

Agreed.
The flaw in the system is that some people who were perfectly safe gun owners 20 years ago have evolved into rampaging fruitcakes today. (present company excepted)
Next thing we will all need an annual MOT on our heads.

They test for delusions too, I hear noooo:
Anyhoo, the Werld at One informs me that coachloads of counsellors have arrived (sandalistas and lentillists to a wumman) so we can all sleep easy now.
Some twat sent a counsellor round to us after the Girl died. I told her to fuck off.
Trying to adopt a year or so later some stoopid social worker informed me that I was "insufficiently angry" about her death. WTF? I told her to fuck off too evil:
