According to the Daily Record (a Scottish daily newspaper) jobless totals way outnumber vacancies in Scotland but they headline the report by saying:
"Revealed: Nine jobseekers are chasing every vacancy in Scotland"
Now I don't know about you but I find it hard to believe that Scots are actually chasing after work.
Read the whole article and it turns out that "Job seekers" who have registered at Job Centres, to ensure they can get their benefits, outnumber the vacancies advertised by employers in Job Centres in Scotland by 9 to 1. Quite a different matter.
