If you were one of his mates (do they call them mates any more?), what would act as a deterrent to you...?

a) Seeing your mate commit the most outrageous crime while pissed and get a 12 month suspended.
b) Seeing your mate commit the most outrageous crime while pissed and get banged up for the rest of his natural... or hanged...

What part of common sense do judges not understand any more...?  Shrugs:
