Title: The condemned man ate a hearty meal
Post by: Uncle Mort on March 02, 2010, 01:44:32 PM
I've been offered lunch in the office dining room on Friday. Sort of departmental farewell before my op.

The chef has asked me what I would like. I'm thinking fish as I don't often do that for myself but...

any suggestions?

What would be your choice?

As I eat lettuce the rest of the year I'll come to, sounds like the perfect menu to me, for a treat like.  Medium, for me please, I like it cooked and not so that a good vet can get it going!

Uncle

You sound a traditional type of chap to me, how does roast beef, roast taters, yorkshire pudding, veg and gravy sound? Followed by apple crumble and custard

What would be your choice?

Lobster with artichoke hearts and asparagus.

For your last actual meal before the pre-surgery fast, why not have bubble and squeak with baked beans and garlic bread.

Oh how those jolly surgeons laugh at a gassy patient.  whistle:

Fairly close, it's lamb rather than beef. Roast spuds and various roasted veggies. Some sort of treacle/sticky toffee/pecan pie to follow.

That explains the "nil by mouth" rule then.  ;)
