Title: What to do
Post by: Miss Demeanour on November 30, 2009, 10:15:16 AM
I ordered a blu ray DVD  on line some time ago ( over 2 months) which hadn't arrived after the obligatory 28 days. I contacted Amazon and confirmed non receipt of goods and they investigated and said they will send out another.

I received the film 2 days later and all was good.

However today I have received another 2 copies of the same film in the post ( I now have 3 copies  noooo: )  - should I send the 2 spare films back ( at my expense) , contact Amazon / the seller to say I have received them and ask them to send a SAE so I can send them back or  make crimbo presents of them  redface:

Examine your conscience carefully .................................................  then give them to other people as presents.  eveilgrin:

Something similar happened to me with a book ~ when I contacted them they said it wasn't worth the postage to send it back and process it back into their system.

I believe you mate ~ and that's what I was doing when they said "Not worth the cost of sending it back and the time it takes to book it back into stock"

It seems that they have a deal on the prices of sending stuff to you but on "returns" they pay the going Royal Mail rates.

A similar thing happened to me years ago ~ specialist flavoured coffee from Hawaii  redface: ~  the first consignment turned up a week or two after the replacement. I emailed them and they said don't worry, enjoy, that's why we have insurance  eeek:

Are they womens weepie films or manly adventure films.

If the latter, send it back. If the former, keep it as you will break the disc as you hug it tightly.

Give 'em 24 hours, send them a final reminder outlining your intentions, and if no response I'd say you can keep 'em with a clear conshunse.  cloud9:

Just don't quote me in court like. noooo:

Sort of , yes. Just got to dare opening and looking at me bank and c/c statements first.  scared2:

It's going to be a freeview+ box defo, not one of these contract jobbies. It'll cause too much aggro, as the wimmin will want to watch utter shite ALL of the time, whilst me a the young Bear cub will be wanting to watch Ray Mears and motoring mayhem Jeremy Clarkson type stuff. cloud9:
