Title: Gloop
Post by: Miss Demeanour on October 16, 2009, 10:06:29 AM

As usual the Brat was packed and ready to go to school with hours to kill this morning  noooo: noooo: noooo:

As she was rushing out she decided she wanted to take a bag of crisps with her and went darting off into the kitchen cupboard until I heard a clash , bang , wallop coming from the kitchen and then the tap being run and kitchen roll being torn off at an alarming rate  eeek:

So I gingerly walk into the kitchen to find in her haste she has tipped over a bag of flour and it is all over the worktops. "I've cleaned it up mum don't worry she says and rushes out the door.

She had poured water all over it and dried to wipe it all off with a dishcloth  evil: I have a mass of gluey gloop everywhere  noooo: noooo: noooo:

Deep joy

That should do the trick nicely.  I remember making 'hippy beads', with scraps of wallpaper from wallpaper books, not sure they do these any more so you will have to be 'of a certain age' to remember them.  The process involved strips of wall paper flour glue and a large knitting needle and string.  We had to make our own entertainment in those days. ::)

I used to make gloop for my children, it consisted of custard powder or corn flour mixed with water and food coloring get the right consistency and it will keep children (and some adults) amused for hours.

Indeed it is, I do it for grand children now and it still works.
