Baroness Scotland immigration row: Sexism at heart, says Jack Straw
Jack Straw, the justice secretary, added to the row surrounding Baroness Scotland claiming she was targeted for being a woman.

Nice one oh man of Straw in the Wind ............ She is, by her own admission, guilty of breaking the very law that she argued to put on the statute book but she claims to have only committed a "Technical Offence" akin to failing to pay the congestion charge in that she failed to take a copy of the documents she claims to have seen. The other party (her cleaner who may or may not be an illegal immigrant but who apparently did not have permission to seek employment in the UK) says that the Noble Lady never asked to see any such documents. So we have a one word against another. Jack Straw now wades in with declamations of "Sexism". He is not only Justice Secretary but a fully qualified Lawyer, who should know better, who will recognise no depths to which he cannot sink to ensure Labour Party advantage. Lord Rumba of Rio must be very pleased with him this morning.

"Had the attorney been a man, I suspect none of this opprobrium would have fallen, because they would have said, ?Oh I leave all these things to my wife. I don?t know anything about them. So there?s a woman?s issue here," Mr Straw said in an interview with the Financial Times.

No, it would be an issue over responsibility. If our HR person (male or female) failed to take copies of the relevant documents it would be their fault and would probably get fired, especially if the company got fined.

Mr Straw in the wind is only using the MPs standby when the brown stuff hits the revolving air circulation machine ~ "Blame someone unaccountable"
