After all the furor over the elections in Iran and the legitimacy of those, here is yet another instance where it seems this idealistic practice of democracy in action in such countries is a farce and is being engineered by those in real power  noooo:

Afghanistan's Election Complaints Commission has ordered a number of recounts and audits of votes from last month's presidential election.

The UN-backed body warned that it had found "clear and convincing evidence of fraud", the AP news agency reported.

According to the most recent results, President Hamid Karzai was close to the threshold needed for an outright win.

The 20 August poll has been overshadowed by claims of mass fraud and ballot-box stuffing against all the main candidates.

Meanwhile our unelected PM and his chief unelected and corrupt sidekick Mandelson trundle on  evil:

The sickening things is that the election farce (which is clearly is) was paid for with the lives of British soldiers...

Pull out the troops immediately, close the borders and let them kill each other...

The heads of more than half of Afghanistan's district election offices will be replaced to prevent fraud in a second-round presidential election critical to the country's credibility and foreign support.

And here we go again  noooo: noooo: noooo:

How many lives will be lost this time  evil:

...the same freaking result as last time!  Banghead

Nobody doubts for a second that Karsi is going to win so why go through it?  noooo:

But they don't want a different one... or expect it... They want and expect the same result as last time but with a bit less fraud thanks you very much...  noooo:

What a farce...

Same logic tho' innit?
This time they want Karsi to have "More legitimacy, a proper mandate" ~ so they'll keep asking the question until they can claim to have got it.
