I have a weakness for old books, the smell and feel of the do something for me. redface:
I have just purchased a very old copy of Dombey and Son. cloud9:
What do other VPers have a panchant for and why.
It will be the swim wear round after this so beware. eeek:
-
Also books. I buy them all the time and never ever dispose of them
-
Books here too. I often buy old books or even sets of books as an "investment" but can never part with them ~ even those I lend out I hope to get back. I hate using the library because the books have to go back. redface:
I failed to gain custody of my first book collection. Didn't have room for it in the car when I moved out and when I returned to get it and other things every last item had been sold or tipped. I was not happy particularly as "promises" had been made as part of the agreement to part and give her the family home but I moved on and am now happily surrounded by books again tho' still hunting for copies of those I "lost".
Apart from that I have a weakness for a pretty face (so God alone knows how I ended up married to those I did neither of whom could be described as "pretty")
I don't swim.

Frankly I don't give a flying f*ck if she does. Eavesdroppers never hear well of themselves be they virtual eavesdroppers or otherwise.
Obviously I found both wives attractive but pretty? That's a whole different ball game.

Fair enough. ;)

which reminds me... rubschin:
You too!
Eventually...

No rush!

Glittery bright things redface:

Note if you zoom in you can see where the ancient hill fort (Iron Age) that has been quarried away at the top of the hill.

And this shows how near but how far we live from one another (Nick and me (I) that is)
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&q=Dyserth&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wl
With a boat and a high tide I could get to his place a lot faster than by having to go all the way up the estuary and back down t'other side. Sorry you need to pan right to see the border twixt Wales and England running down the Dee Estuary. We live on opposite sides but there is a mountain on this side that prevents us from seeing one another although I can see Nick's from the hill at the back of my brother's house.

OS maps. cloud9:
On my wish list; A map room and a complete set of UK maps. If one side of the room was lined with a bookcase full of old books even better, I don't think I would ever venture out. cloud9:
I love the smell of aviation fuel too. redface:
