Title: Warp Drive Engaged?
Post by: Snoopy on July 02, 2009, 12:55:55 PM
My PC "Tower" seems to have several settings for the automatic cooling system. Yesterday it was whirring away like a good 'un. Today is seems to have gone into Warp Drive ~ making more bloody noise than an electric lawnmower. OK I know it has more than one fan and they cut in as necessary but I didn't think today was THAT hot.

Maybe I should shut down for an hour or two and let it cool off. rubschin:

Why not just swap the fans out for newer silent ones.

Or if you are feeling adventurous you could always try & install a liquid cooling rig.
