Post by: Miss Demeanour on July 01, 2009, 10:38:11 AM
T-Mobile have informed XXXXX Council of major issues with their network that is potentially affecting their customers nationwide. Therefore, you may have intermittent service in making calls from your mobile. There is no problem with receiving calls on your mobile.

We have just received this at work ....This is a broadcast from the Miss D information services - glad to be of assistance  whistle:

I dunno who operates my mobile.
I got it from ASDA 'cos they only charge 8p a call and 4p a text. Cheapest PAYG in the country.
THW refuses to let me put her phone on an ASDA sim "'Cos I don't want MY friends thinking I can't afford a PROPER service". angry041:

"But it's me that pays for it dearie not you so IF anyone found out your service was from ASDA and thought it "cheap" then it's me that is the cheapskate not you ~ go get a fecking summer job and pay for your own damned phone in future" cussing:

Does anyone here even know which service (Vodaphone, Virgin, Three or whatever) is used by those calling them? No I thought not. It just doesn't show on your screen does it but madam thinks that "Everyone will know"  Banghead

Who give a fat rat's arse what service anyone uses if it works?

AND If it saves money thus giving her more texts and more calls within her Father pre-set monthly budget I would have thought she would welcome it.

A paying Summer job wouldn't be the worst thing for THW I don't think. Might teach some value, it certainly did me at her age.

According to ASDA you can keep your existing number ~ I certainly have ~ even with a new phone.

As for Summer job ~ she has pissed around so much arguing that she didn't want to "Clean Chalets, Work in a Kitchen, Serve in a cafe, Throw burgers at people etc etc" that all the vacancies have been filled ~ As I told her they would. There is a hoooge uptake in seasonal employment here ~ well there would be, this is the caravan centre of the world (there are more holiday caravans in Rhyl and Prestatyn area than anywhere else in the UK or so the local tourist board claim) as well as having an enormous Pontins Holiday Camp. Scallies flock in for the summer to work then return to Liverpool at the end of the season and sign on again having achieved their goal of getting three months stamps on their cards which gives them another 9 months of dole before next season.

But Madam thinks she can start as Managing Director or something. She doesn't even get her GCSE results until 23rd August FFS

So we have designed a job for her at home. There will be some doors to be painted, bedrooms to be cleaned, ironing to be done etc.
"Will I get paid?" she muttered
"Yes" her mother replied brightly "You will get free board and lodging PLUS the usual taxi service and you mobile topped up each month and free use of your father's internet connection"

Asda use Vodafone which is the best service provider going.

Oddly enough I've just finished a meeting where we've agreed to change our company mobiles from O2 to Vodafone.

If you are a T mobile customer then just ring them up & tell them you are revoking permission to send marketting info to.

If you aren't a customer then as far as l know, the TPS is including sms  suppression now
