The system has more effect the more reputation you have - those of us that were negative before I installed it can't really influence others... Also, I'm, not sure that it has given due credit for the number of posts and threads that existed beforehand.

I'm looking into it... I may just upgrade the whole board to the new 2.0 release... whistle:

I changed the labels so it says Karma and smite/clap - we can change them to anything we like actually...

I gave everybody 2000 karma points. Anybody with positive karma before the change ended up with 2000. Anybody with negative karma before the change ended up with 2000 minus their smites.

I changed the scoring to 10 points for a post and 50 points for a new thread.

I'm still werking on the bit of code that will retrospectively give points based on how many posts and threads you'd done previously.
