I know a funny story about that bloke on the left whistle:
-
I hope it is not in bad taste since he died not long ago.
-
Not this one is it?
Builders working at the home of former Hi-De-Hi star Barry Howard found a Second World War incendiary device hidden above his bedroom.
Workers removing a chimney breast at his flat in Poole, Dorset, dislodged the ten-inch device on Tuesday.
Mr Howard, 69, who played ballroom dancer Barry Stuart-Hargreaves, said he must have been unknowingly sleeping under the bomb for the past 20 years.
The dormant device, marked 1942, was taken away by a bomb disposal team.
Mr Howard, of Haydon Road, Branksome Park, told the BBC: "I had been sleeping under it for 20 years, and it had probably been there for 65.

No
He is, or rather was, a serious alcoholic and a friend of my sister. He house sat for her once (he had to look after her cat). He worked his way through her collection of left over bottles of stuff. Half a bottle of Bailey’s, half a bottle of sherry, a bottle of Crème de Menthe, some wine, a few beers, some Malibu (all in one day like).
Then he felt peckish and ate a pork pie he found in the fridge. Then he threw up.
He told her, ‘I think that pork pie must have been off.’
-
lol:
He was, for many years, "The Partner" of John Inman of "Are you being served?" fame.
Thinking about it it maybe wasn't him that died but his dance partner in Hi De Hi. One of them did anyway.
-
It was Inman. I used to work with that Su Pollard woman. She was bonkers noooo:
Given the task of taking all the wage packets for the whole of Nottingham Co-op round the building to distribute she first went to the toilet leaving them all next to a wash basin. They weren't then when she came out., I know. Mine was among them evil:
-
I know Inman died but either Barry or the lady he played opposite died not that long ago ~ it were on't telly.
Isn't a small world ~ I worked for the Co-op once ~ not in Nottingham though but in Oxford (Cowley) where I was the Manager of the Furniture Department
-
Howard is still alive.

Well I'm glad we sorted that out ~ now back to the catalogues.
I don't have any ~ mainly because it takes up less effort and space to look things up on line that to store catalogues. CPC being a case in point ~ all their stuff is on line and you can see at a glance if it is in stock or not.
-
I dispose of all catalogues the second they arrive

They made the mistake of putting me in charge of bed linen noooo:
