I was out on Friday night and The Brat was staying with her father.
She returned yesterday and did the usual " I'm starving , what's for tea" routine. The Comic Relief appeals for what actually constitutes starving must have completely passed her by ::)
So I go to the freezer to get some grub out.
Strange , the door seems slightly ajar.
Strange, I didn't have to pull hard at the door to open it.
Strange, wasn't overly cold when opening the door.
Strange , why is there lots of water dripping out
Strange all the food was friggin soft , mushy, wet and soggy.
Called The Brat in to ask when the last time she got anything out of the Freezer.........." mmmm had some Ice cream on Wednesday or Thursday" , she nonchalantly offered up angel1
"Did you shut the door properly " - I calmly asked
"Dunno" - she considerately replied
1 whole bin liner later of disposed food the freezer is now completely empty. I have restarted it , changed fuses etc and it appears to be working. I still have my fingers crossed on this. evil:
The little bundle of joy came downstairs this morning as she is preparing to go out with her friends today and said :
" Can you make sure you get some more ice cream today" Explode:
I am calling on my inner Zen at the moment before I respond or I am likely to rip her straightened haired head , off her not very broad shoulders and throw it into the friggin freezer and make sure the door is feckin SHUT this time !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
DON'T talk to me about bloody friggin' teenage daughters. Angry9:
I've gone through several bladders this week. I've had several explode on me this week that would have put Mount Etna to shame. Stocks are running dangerously low now.

Padlock it shut evil:
-
No need - there is absolutely nothing in it any more evil: evil: evil:

In the future, I meant. We too have had this problem with The Boy evil:

angel1 We have one of those "American" Fridge Freezer things (Wenchy almost came to live with me to get at it). The beauty is that if either door is left open for more than 30 seconds it starts to bleep and will not stop until the door is properly shut. Also it displays, on the front, the temp in both compartments and shows which door is not fully closed whistle: And just to finally piss you off ~ we can preset the temp for both fridge (usually 3 deg) and the freezer (usually -20 deg) ~ dual condensers of course and self defrosting.

However if I had a fridge freezer that size then I wouldn't have room for a kitchen cry:

Take your point but there are five of us eating out of it. These things are relative. If you have a house for five (Four double bedrooms etc) then you expect the kitchen to hold a decent sized fridge ~ mind we had to take the back door off to get it in. (Cue DS for a smutty snigger there)
-
I like the ones that dispense ice....... I'm so easily pleased noooo:

We vetoed one like that because friends who had one demonstrated how little ice they actually produce and how long it takes. They also have to be plumbed into the main water supply and breed bacteria like a petri dish in a laboratory (Think Legionnaire's Disease). Better to make ice cubes the old fashioned way ~ or for a party go to Iceland (The shop not the country) and buy a bag.

But I like to press buttons whistle:

But I like to press buttons whistle:
They are nice not so much for the ice cubes but for the incredibly cold water they dispense. Mother Wench has one. cloud9:
-
What do you need so much cold water for? Mr Wench excitable?
-
I like my drinking water ice cold. I drink upwards of two litres a day. That's a lot of ice cubes. redface:
-
I drink a lot of cold water too. I keep two large bottles of sparkling spring water in the fridge at all times.

Pretty much. Welsh water tastes soooo much nicer.

All water is dinosaur piss (originally like)
It has to be!
-
Hampshire Water ~ as available in Southampton where I grew up is good ~ cos it filters through all that chalk. Run the cold tap and the water in the glass sparkles which is prolly why I prefer fizzy bottled water.
-
WHereas London water is full of stuff that does limescale. Hence my fatal experiment with Brick Acid to clean the bath evil:
Impressive though, at the time, like
-
I use what they call in Spain agua fuerte.
-
Use it for what, like?

Anyhoo, we also have one of those "American" Fridge Freezer things... It also has a door alarm, door open display, temperature display for both compartments (-4 and -18), dual condensers of course and self defrosting....
However, ours also has an ice cube maker and ice water dispenser... Miss D will be more than welcome to press my buttons when she gets here... cloud9:
And before Snoopy starts, our water passes through a super-filtration reverse osmosis thingy.... whistle:
