Brown & cream coloured salt/pepper/vinegar/oil set to co-ordinate with the newly decorated kitchen - from friends Vera & John
Glass topped wine bottle stopper - from friends Fruity and Jill
Chocolate covered raisins - from friends Fruit and Jill
Red and white coloured glass night light plate thingy (to go on newly decorated investment wall in kitchen) - from friends Fruity and Jill
Red Parker pen - from friends Peter & Tinkerbell
Voucher for spa treatment at our local gym - from friends Peter & Tinkerbell
Brown & cream decorative oblong plate with three co-ordinating aromatherapy candles - from BaldyMort
One large and one smaller blue and white decorative glass plates (to also go on newly decorated investment wall in kitchen) - from BaldyMort
Series 4 of 24 (so he can sneak down and spend more hours talking on the VP because he doesn't like it) - from BladyMort

Well ~ if someone collects plates (and they can be very expensive) and you buy some more for that collection it does show thought, care of choice (so as not to duplicate) and, depending on the maker of said pates, could cost quite a bit. Aromatherapy candles ain't cheap either ~ ask Mr Wench
BiL bought a set of three plates for his Parents about five years ago ~ cost him well over £200 as they were a limited edition
So on balance I reckon the award for Tightwad of the Birthday season belongs to .................... drumroll:

Collectable items and frankly they don't cost too much. I have to come up with ideas for three kids every Mother's Day, Birthday and Christmas PLUS think of presents for me to give her. I am just glad she collects something. It is one less thing to worry about.
