Let us all hope that America does the decent thing for once.

Decides it's a draw and they were wrong to leave the Empire?

God no Snoop, would you want them back?

The only thing I have to say about the whole thing is

GOBAMA!!!!

Because I have a feeling that Palin will end up making the average person wistful for the halcyon days of Dubya.  noooo:

I've found it interesting how Palin has completely overshadowed McCain. It's a VP position FFS!

Its forward planning, Palin has already said she plans to run in 8 years time. This is as much setting the foundations for that campaign as anything else.

Oh I understand from her point of view but if you were Mcain wouldn't you be a tad irritated that no bugger cared about you?

Given that he met her no more than 2 times before he announced her position something tells me that she is more than capable of keeping him happy.

Either she gives one hell of a BJ or he knows that he doesnt stand a snowballs chance in Nicks Microwave without her taking over the focus of the campaign and is so desperate to get into the office that he doesnt care how it happens.

No. But with my erratic sleeping pattern will probably be hearing things at intervals ... some of which might be to do with the US election  ;)

Indeed it was. So much for it looking like a close run thing. John McCain is on live at the moment conceding defeat, a very gracious speeech, but I do realise that these things are well prepared

I suspect that the republican effort this time around was nothing more than a chance to introduce Palin to the public at large in preparation for her shot at the presidency in 4 or 8 years time. Anti Bush sentiment had buggered the chances of the republicans getting another term no matter who their candidate was.

Makes no odds now, the deed is done.

I wonder if there is any truth in the rumours that "Call me Dave" is recruiting for candidates  whistle:
