Title: A most peculiar incident!
Post by: Nick on October 10, 2008, 02:40:44 PM
I went up to the bank to get some money out of the machine thingy.

Machine thingy was acting up.Tried five times with all kinds of weird error messages. (HSBC going down too?)

A queue formed and the woman behind me got a bit shirty.Asked me to hurry up. I said, "I am trying to get £30 out, but it's not working properly".

"I'm in a hurry, "she yelled.

I said, "Well you try."

It worked for her and she got quite a large wad of cash out.

I had rejoined the end of the queue.

As she went towards the door she said, "Here." And thrust something into my hand. SHe then legged it down the road.

It was £30! rubschin:

Clearly she was an honest woman and the machine, after all your malarkey, had shelled out an extra thirty quid so she gave it to you. On the other hand perhaps she thought you were a vagrant ~ but usually you would have handed her a copy of The Big Issue before she parted with money. The only other thought is that you should check, by phone NOW, to see if your card withdrawal has paid out and how much. You had five goes? ~ She may have made off with £120 of your money having given you the £30.
