Now I know that I usually side with the Queers (on the don't knock it until you've tried it principle) and I shall continue to so do but it has to be said that anyone who dresses up in frocks of violent colours, wears jewelled necklaces and offers people his ring to be kissed has to be a bit suspect.

Anyway I am not anti queer, I do believe in God but I cannot abide organised religion.

Is there a 'bash the bishop' joke in here somewhere...? rubschin:

I thought it would be a bit of a cheap shot but yes, if you feel the need. whistle:

I'm not a fan or organised religions either and I admit part of me loves to mess with the heads of the rabid evangelical nutbags that decide my soul needs saving at the end of each summer.
Mentioning that far from being a sin, homosexuality is most likely an essential part of Gods design as it would have been a limiting factor on population levels tends to have an interesting effect on the demeanor of whoever is trying to hammer the 'word of god' down my throat at the time. whistle:

On a twisted level I admit that part of me likes the Scientologists. Any religion that is obviously designed to bilk as much money out of their followers as possible is a prime example of Darwinism at work.
I'd love to be in the room to see the faces of members who have paid the many thousands to discover the secret of the faith. That millions of years ago some intergalactic warlord shipped trillions of aliens to earth, dumped them in volcanoes and then nuked them spreading their atoms all over the planet and causing life to form here.

It's as likely as any other religion's creation myth.

Hello Uncle!
-
True Uncle but most other religions dont require you to give most of your money to them before they tell you their myth.
-
Hello chaps.
I actually dabbled in Scientology when I was a callow youth (18) It didn't take me long to realise that not only it was a load of bollocks but expensive as well. I did get to know a very pleasant young lady there. I wish I'd dabbled with her more than I did. eyes:
