Title: Another Trip to the Horsepickle
Post by: Snoopy on July 24, 2008, 10:18:23 AM
But a different one today ~ to get my magic box downloaded and checked. Also Cardio wanted me to have a blood test so I thought I'd go early and kill two birds so to speak. No queue for the vampires and no p*ssing about looking for reluctant veins. Straight in to the chair, straight into the vein and out again in two minutes. Trot down the corridor to Cardio outpatients and announce my arrival to reception "You're early today"
"Well, I had to get a blood test and you know what they can be like for a wait"
"Tell me about it  ::) Anyway, get a coffee and take a seat, I'll let them know you are here and perhaps they'll slip you in"
Twenty minutes goes by and the regular technician pops up at the side of me:
"Hi ~ I can't think why they sent you an appontment, you only need checking every three months and we saw you at the end of May ...... I tried to ring you but you must have already left. We are very short handed today so I'm afraid you'll either have to come back at the end of August or wait at least another hour"
I am going back at the end of August  confused:

And I'll bite the first one who says "As you sow, so shall you reap"  evil:

I have yet to find one that is not practising.

Someone else once pointed out that the job of the medical profession is to keep the patient occupied whilst nature gets on and cures (or kills).
