Title: What are these guys on?

Darling: Public feel 'squeezed'

Chancellor Alistair Darling has warned his Cabinet colleagues not to expect any more money for schools, hospitals or transport.

He said people were feeling "squeezed" by rising prices and would not tolerate higher taxes for public services.

He told the Times newspaper that he did not believe there would be a swift improvement in the economy.

The Tories said his hint that borrowing rules might be relaxed dealt a fatal blow to the government's reputation.

Or what part of La La Land they live in...  shrugs:

Do they not realise that the reason the public won't tolerate more taxes is that they get shite-all for the taxes that are taken from them already...  noooo:

No we do get something, a useless slack jawed imbecilic moron in number 10 happily jetting off to the middle east at our expense in order to 'be the first Prime Minister to address the Israeli parliament'.

We all know you are living on borrowed time so stop wasting our money trying to build a legacy when its needed here to build services. Help out internationally by all means, but not at the cost of public services.

And to add insult to injury I heard on the news today that the taxpayer is going to be billed £500k for the search for the missing HMRC data disks.  cussing:

I take it that Gordon Brown only owns one "Holiday" Jacket since every photograph of him that has appeared during the past two weeks has him wearing it.

I love their collective insistence that ‘listening’ is so important to them – the thing they are clearly incapable of doing… since they are still there like…  noooo:

My late mother used to say that there is a world of difference between "Listening" and "Hearing".
