Post by: TG on May 17, 2008, 07:42:00 PM
I have just read this : http://tinyurl.com/628fx9

It is a very nice book.

GM stylee review : Very good book. But I reccomend his previous book 'Batavias graveyard*' because it is more violent.  happy088

In all seriousness 'Batavias graveyard' is utterly fascinating. Trust me on this at least, a few quid well spent if you buy it.

Humanity at its very worst. But also at its very best. Shocking but strangely inspiring. 400 years ago people were not so very different.

Well said that dog.

Having got to know you all I am more inclined to click & buy from a review on here than I am a review on the Amazon site itself.

At leat make it a sticky in case we can get some good tips on what film / book / game we might look at next.

Everybody hates me.  censored:

Anyway, I'm about 100 pages into this : http://tinyurl.com/5kjcwg

Comparisons to 'The DaVinci Code' are inevitable but there are crucial differences, for a kick off this has a a logical plot, it is well written and goes like a train. It's about the hunt for a lost Shakespeare play written by a Shakesapeare expert.

GM stylee review : Fast moving literary thriller, needs more sex.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/075093896X/ref=s9subs_c3_img1?pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=1C06FA54S3A58TMRX2MW&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=139042391&pf_rd_i=468294

Looking forward to reading this. Even Mrs TG might read it.

But got to finish this first :

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Jack-Ripper-Facts-Paul-Begg/dp/1861058705/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1211969786&sr=1-1

Excellent book. Gives a highly detailed over view of the case without trying to force feed the reader the authors choice of suspect.

No!

Whoever wanted to review something would do so here in a post. Then BM, or possibly me if he explains it properly, will embed the html coding into the posting to create the pretty picture link. Then if anyone wants to buy it they click on the pretty picture and The Pub gets the dinero.

We-ell…

I guess we should start an ‘all new book and DVD review’ thread…

Generally it would be used for, um… reviews of things we had watched or read and I can add the HTML code to provide the links.

If as in this case the link preceded the purchase you could add it afterwards…

Possibly…  rubschin:
