Some mornings you really don't want to hear John Humphries ravaging some politico... specially when you're feeling a tad delicate.
Such was the case this morning and it had been some time since I'd twiddled the dial of my bedside aural companion eyes:
Two new ones for me:- Birdsong, yes, birdsong. Minute after minute of pastoral delights. God knows what they were but I'm sure some twitcher or Bill Oddie wannabe would know. Snooooooooze.
Second one:- PLR. Hmmm. PLR stands for Polish London Radio... noooo: Eastern European rock in other words. Listening to it for about a minute summoned images of Polish builders and decorators, PEK ham and Solidarnosce... not a good way to start the day cry:
How's your DAB radio doing?

Wakes me up to Humphries and co but switches to Wogan at 7.30 to ease me into a reasonable mood.

Ooo what was the birdsong one? It's usually Humphries until Mr C comes to and switches the TV on evil: he then proceeds to get grumpier by the minute at the quality of the program/the way the news is delivered what is reported the weather reporters. I have suggested that he doesn't watch the program but the answer is always no. Shrugs:

Radio?
Wakes me up (sometimes) in the morning.
Pretty much gave up on radio when Kenny & Cash finished on Capital.
Remember being on shift when Capital became the first commercial station.

IME, DAB Radio has an annoying habit of sounding as though you've dunked the radio into a bucket of water!
Absolutely useless!

Prolly both better and safer than the petrol recommended by one sadistic D.I. of my acquaintance.
