I really don't see how this is of benefit to mankind. I am all for learning from the past and not making the same mistakes again (not that that idea ever works either) but really we are here, the earth is here. Knowing how it started is not that important .... neither is knowing how or when it will end. We'll only worry about it.
And yes I can see how it could be misread to make you smirk.

It would presumably have been cheaper if they had started with a more modest collider for the small Hadrons?

How does one tackle those problems without research? How many billions has been injected into cancer research without any cure?

What ..... like a brick wall, behind a bar in Cyprus, whilst wearing a duffle coat?

See previous posts concerning GOS's encounter with a lady of easy virtue, a brick wall, Cyprus and GOS's duffle coat ..... it is too complicated to go into this side of lunch and I shall be sleeping in the arm chair afterward.

I remember the post now Snoopy, caffiene obviously hasn't kicked in yet. I was also impressed he could reach the wall lol:
