Newly released details of MPs' show that former Prime Minister Tony Blair claimed £116 to pay for his TV licence, his successor Gordon Brown claimed £2,000 for cleaning and ex-Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott claimed £4,000 for food in the space of a year.
The details were released by Speaker Michael Martin to the BBC after House of Commons authorities decided not to appeal the Information Commissioner's ruling that they were wrong to withhold them.
There is no suggestion that any of the claims were in breach of rules, but they shine another spotlight into the operation of the Westminster allowances system, which has come under increasing scrutiny in recent months.
Well isn't it nice to know where our contributions are going to ey?
£4000 is nearly the amount I paid last year to feed that corrupt obnoxious lazy greedy overweight floundering Hippopotamus Prescott.
He and his thieving scummy chummies make me want to puke violently.

There was a time when I had hopes that Prince William was going to look at the country and say "if I don't do something I'll have nothing left worth inheriting" and that he and Harry would lead their troops on Parliament, string up Blair, Brown and all the other worthless shites that inhabit the place and say "OK Let's start again and see if we can get it right this time" ........................................... Then I woke up.
