Title: Happy Birthday Chaps
Post by: Snoopy on March 31, 2008, 05:00:58 PM
The Royal Air Force, in which I am proud to have served, is about to celebrate its 90th Birthday.
Formed appropriately enough on April 1st 1918 the RAF will be 90 tomorrow.

Those of you in London will be able to see the Red Arrows in formation with four Typhoon Aircraft fly along the Thames to the London Eye tomorrow.

Indeed they do shift a bit don't they?
In my day they flew sub-sonic Folland Gnat Trainers but the Hawks they now use have a lot more beef in them.
Those Typhoons are out of this world.
