I suppose he is an acquired taste musically but his knowledge of the American music scene is unbeatable and his style of presentation as a "Disc Jockey" is brilliant.
Anyway you're prolly too young. ::)

I think Dylan's programmes are great ~ refreshingly different.

I wouldn't give you two pence for much of the output on Radio 2 but these Dylan programmes are really good. If for no other reason than his voice/accent is so much pleasanter to listen to than the jabberings and regional accents of Chris Evans, Radcliffe and Maconie (where the fvck did they find those two idiots?) Dearmot O'Leary and Russell Brand. They all think they are funny and they are not, they know sod all about their subject except that which they cull from the sleeve notes. Steve Wright is a total wanker ... BiL used to work with him ... he was a tosser then and is now so far up his own arse he actually believes he is clever.

NO! BBC NO!  angry041:

I listened to Radcliffe and Maconie once. I was unsure which was which or even who was who but I have an abiding memory of one of them who struck me as being barely coherent. He babbled away like a poor man's Michael Parkinson, complete with Northern Accent and stuttering delivery full of "ahahaha" and "umumum" "wellwellwellwell" etc.  A real cartoon Northerner ~ in fact, I thought at first it was Mike Yarwood doing an impersonation of Parky.  ::)
