Title: Bloody Earworm
Post by: Snoopy on March 18, 2008, 08:29:34 AM: All night I have been waking on and off with the old Lionel Bart "Fings ain't what the used to be" going round in my head.
Max Bygraves had a big hit with it you'll all (well the older ones of you will ) recall. The song came from a show of, I think, the same name.
In particular I have been irked by the bit that goes:

"It used to be fun, Dad and old mum, paddling down Sarfend,
But now it ain't done, XXXXXX is where we spend our ZZZZZZZ"

AND I cannot remember where XXXXXX was (Paris would fit but so would Bournemouth) and ZZZZZZ ~ was that "holidays" or "weekends"?

Yes I could Google the lyrics but where would be the fun in that. This way you can all be infected eveilgrin:
