Title: Memories of Laurel and Hardy

Now that the painting is finished Mrs Nick insturcted me to "move the piano".

She had measured up a space in an alcove and concluded that the piano would fit. Unfortunately she had not allowed for the skirting board. evil:

Me and the chatty painter heaved and struggled. It is now wedged solid!! ::)

And I am covered in cobwebs evil:

We have a similar problem. I too cannot persuade Mtrs Snoopy that one needs to measure top and bottom of both space and item to be inserted. Not all gaps, I told her, are as elastic as others.  whistle:

It turns out she measured at sort of eye level (admittedly quite low down for her eveilgrin:) forgetting that our house is , well, sort of bendy and, um, unstraight
