Post by: The Moan Ranger on March 04, 2008, 05:03:28 PM: All 330 or so PCs to get a profile refresh over the course of the next two nights.

I've tested it on twenty with only one minor problem.

Who would like to start the bidding on how many refreshed fails. I'll start with 50.

And I'm going to Swindon tomorrow, so someone else can sort out the problems :-)

If you’ve tested on 20 and only had one problem then out of 330 you’ll have about 275… point:

You are probably safe there TMR, if she does decide to remove them I doubt she'd use anything that sharp. Would be over far too quickly.... eeek:

Mrs TMR is out tonight (the "big" boss is having his redundancy do) so it is unlikely she will find this out, as she is apt to wobble in at midnight and perform rude things. I didn't get an invite to his "do" as I am merely the IT bloke THAT HAS SORTED HIS FUCKING LAPTOP OUT NON-STOP SINCE HE HAS BEEN HERE (OK - I broke one).

There are scenes of mass panic on the 3rd and 4th floors. I retired to the pub for some Young's to mull over the best rectification method...

My part, therefore, has been acieved - the fact that the "big" company chose not to include us in the testing of the updated program is their fault - now they will have to release a further update to fix the problem only we are suffering. And we make about seventy million pounds profit a year, so it will happen. And I will get overtime and a bung of about a grand to make sure it works this time. I LOVE IT when they screw up!
