Dunno. We have tractors towing loads of sillage up the High Street and other tractors towing loads of sillage down the High Street. When it is not sillage it is slurry. This goes on all the time. I did ask why once and it seems that Farmer A has his farm at the Eastern end of the village but rents some fields at the Western end. Farmer B has his farm at the Western end of the village and rents some fields at the Eastern end. My suggestion that they could save diesel, man hours and my nerves by simply swapping sillage or slurry was met with incredulity by the two farmers involved and a round of applause from their wives (who were told in round Welsh tones that they obviously had learned nothing about farming in all the years they had been married)

I am sure Darwin will have a plausible explanation.

If you need a nap to cope with an night's drinking then you are probably too old to stay up late.

At your age yes, you need all the help you can get. Plus I think sleep stimulates the hair follicles.

Is it definitely earth they are taking away? When extracting gravel etc for road construction quite often the hole where the gravel is infilled with "landfill"

Definitely earth'.... horrible dusty brown stuff that blows everywhere when it's dry and sticks to your boots when wet!!! Haven't seen them moving gravel..... ever.....it's all on the beaches!!!!!

Update today.....we're apparently back to the one-way shuffle..... inwards. Mountain is getting bigger and the valley behind where we go walkies with resident mutt, is getting smaller and smaller....soon won't be able to get round there at all!

I will update at regular intervals...but for now I HAVE TO GO OUT BM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   noooo:

Never mind............. we move to the edge of the cliff in 2 weeks.........hurrah!!!!!!    lol:

Judging from the amount of earth being shifted you could soon be closer to the cliffs without even moving.....   whistle:
