So it's all going to be Fair Trade from now on is it? .... Well that's me buying own brand from now on then.
(Mind you a kilo of sugar lasts about two months in this house 'cos none of us actually use it much ... I can't stand the stuff so really it's only the kids when/if they have cereal and then only a teaspoonful each)
But this "Fair Trade" malarkey is really a lot of bulls hit. Our local church sells the shite, at twice the price of "normal" produce and wonders why no-one will buy it. No-one has yet shown me that the extra money actually gets to the poor farmer ..... and now I come to think about it nobody has ever shown me a poor farmer.
Poor farm labourers I can believe but they will not get the money ... it simply does not trickle down that far.
