Title: I imagine you need steady hands for this.
Post by: TG on February 22, 2008, 02:12:32 PM
DIY laser eye surgery?

And why not? $99 an eye. How can it fail?

You can even get the T-shirt

Nelson Ludo of New York says :

I was worried that LASIK@Home would be too hard, but the instructions were very easy to understand. Now I can stop spending money on contact lenses.

He's not kidding!

I'm surprised that she needed them done, I'd have figured that the reflecton from bladyboce would have had the same effect  whistle:

My LASIK@Home kit came in the mail just a few days after I ordered it. I was so excited that I used it that same night! My boyfriend helped me do it. It was all done in an hour and I didn’t feel a thing!

This just cannot be REAL  whistle:
When BM forwarded it to me I just totally thought it to be a wind up  ::)
Having just gone through the corrective eye laser procedure myself I can confirm that there is NO WAY you'd do it to yourself (unless you were a total nutter  rubschin:) - There are loads of yucky prep things that have to be done to the eyeball first  sick2: then you have to have the lids sort of taped open with a style of eyelash curler clamped on to hold them open and then they shoot the laser rays into each eye ball  scared2: scared2: scared2:
Even if anyone had the nerve to do that to themselves I can just then imagine having the system clamped to you eye and hesitantly going - okay I'm ready, finger on button................oh no I'm not, finger off button...............okay I'm ready, finger on button....................oh no I'm not, finger off button-------I think you get my drift  ::)
