Title: OUT OF THE MOUTHS OF BABES AND SUCKLINGS ETC

This morning the teenage hormone wreck was really getting heself into a strop with her mother ~ nothing new there ~ concerning the suitability of a 14 yo attending a birthday bash for a 17yo that is expected to last all night. Current guest list totals 40+ teenagers. We, as responsible parents, have said no but as usual the child decides to have a go at her mother (mainly 'cos she knows that I will simply clatter her round the ear and ban all external activities for a month).
Meanwhile her two brothers aged 9 and 7 are sat having their wheat flakes or whatever. In the background is John Humphriess and co reporting on the Florida votes and saying that Hilary Clinton has won handsomely and is looking evermore likely to be the Democratic candidate. As THW gets more and more wound up with shouted accusations of her mother's inabilities as a parent eeek: the 9 YO looked up from his cereal and lisped (he has front teeth problems at the moment)

THW stormed out of the house, slamming all doors on route, vowing to contact child-line whilst Mrs S sat and wept with laughter. I, having heard the initial commotion had come downstairs from the shower, wrapped in a towel and caught only the boy's comment and subsequent rage. I too could not keep a straight face.
Are we really bad parents?
The boy has been praised for his perception and I have explained about Hormones and PMT.

Trouble is he is right and I'm still laughing lol: lol: lol:

That is excellent! However, having been a THW I would have lost the plot at my brother round about then.
