Might have known you would go straight to the 'bra clips' thread. noooo:
Ladies & gents, indulge us Ms Bosse (well named) and I have decided to 'get a room'
-
My lasting memory of Amsterdam is that the streets were paved with dog poo.
-
bra clips? no one in Holland wears a bra-we believe in letting it all hang loose, better for the enviroment.

Holland ~ Lovely place, lovely food, lovely people. Spent many a very happy holiday there.

Amsterdam - fab place.
Couple of long weekend breaks with BaldyMort at the big hotel right in the centre square - had a fab glass domed breakfast room cloud9:
Other memories:-
Fab architecture
Strange coffee shops (ano story there about blue tiled bathrooms eeek:)
Deep dark friendly bars selling something volatile named Jenive that had to be stored in the fridge - bit like the hoocypooch over here Ziviner I think, either drink it and burn out your insides or use it to take your nail varnish off
Weird hairdressers (had mine done in the hotel and was sooooooooooo backcombed and lacquered washed it straight out and started again - ::) us women eh!)
Saw my very first (and last) mechanical live s e x show - no they were real but they could have been mechanical and decided no matter what _ I would never never earn money that way redface:
PS) By the way this is LL not MP ;)

rubschin:
I only remember the sex show, the prostitutes in the windows, the jenive and the night you got stoned on skunk... whistle:
They had architecture and stuff too did they? noooo:
I saw on the telly the other night that they are trying to tart-up (snigger) the red light district and turning many of the ‘booths’ that the girls used to sit in into fashion displays? sad24:

I love Amsterdam.
Been there to work a few times and also took Mrs Tel there for a break. She loved it as well although she was a bit unsure about the Chinese quarter.
Did some museums, Maritime is terrific and Anne Franks house is an quite an experience.
Bit strange to be walking along a street lined with shops you recognise from the UK and suddenly there is a sex shop next to Dolcis.
Mrs Tel was unfazed by the Red Light district and took the sight of naked females sitting in arm-chairs as though it was quite normal.

rubschin: The ones I saw in Rotterdam were very Nordic looking, with tattoos, beards, deep voices, knives and stuff. And that was the female crew members.
I went into a bar near the docks ~ Not a place for those of a nervous disposition I felt ...... so I legged it. scared2:
I mean ~ I don't mind a bit o rough (well I didn't in those days) but really! eeek:
-
What was the name of the bar. Or an address? redface:
