Perhaps prefixed with "great" as in great-great-alter ego?

The tricky question is whether alter egos can spawn alter egos of their own, without recourse to the original over-inflated ego that created the original.

If anybody is looking for a subject for their Philosophy thesis (or Psychology for that matter) they could to worse than start with that.
