I have a new contract in Kent. Private school. Mortgaged to the hilt and now re-mortgaging. Why? Cos she has space for 130 kids but only has 50. = misery.

Using my vast professional expertise, and working with the finance guys who are bankrolling her, I have shown her exaclty how she can grow to 97 (x £8K p.a.) by 2009-10.

She just called. "It seems a bit unsporting. I mean, there are other schools locally and I wouldn't want to poach their prospective pupils."

OK then, go bust!! Banghead

Christ, I even did "What If" calcualtions on spreadsheets for her. It is perfectly possible. SHe is, of course, A Grauniad reader.

Because you know what the name of the school is and whenever I tell anyone they fall over laughing! I haven't told her yet. redface:

I actually think the name is the biggest flaw in her business.

"And where are your boys at school?"

A mate of mine worked on that job when it was going Co-ed. In the end he said the name wouldn't necessarily deter male applicants. eeek:

I just hate these posts....so fascinating then you're left wondering what all the 'pm' s are about....sounds like you're in my business dear cousin Nick...well, till I escaped to sunny CY. Was thinking of doing something mildly 'educational' over here.... the closest I've got is to invigilating for the LCCI.........oh well, brings in a bit of coffee money!!!!!!!   whistle:
