But why did I expect to understand it?
They deliberately talk in telephone numbers and jargon that means little to thee and me. Guess I'll have to wait for the pundits to explain it .... only thing I can be sure of .... I will not benefit.

What little I understand sounds to me like he is doing a Gordon and re-announcing stuff we already had promised to us by GB last time and the time before and the time before.

And what is it with these gits that they want to talk in ten year plans? Soviet Russia used to do that and change them every year.

"The Badger" is defending his statement to John Humphries on the Today prog (Radio Four). He is wriggling like an eel on a hook. He will not give a straight answer, he will neither conform or deny things that we all heard him say in the statement and he even claims that Gordon actually ended up borrowing less last year than he forecast and thus increasing borrowing this year will keep the finances within the acceptable parameters set by his predecessor. eeek:
He maintained this stance despite JH pointing out that GB had over-borrowed for 6 years and that one year of borrowing less than predicted could not be deemed a balance. What an arse  evil:

I thought I'd woken up in some Kafkaesque other world listening to Today.

The was some bloke talking about leapfrogging the green belt, then a Director of Sainsbury's claiming a financial quarter has 4 months in it, then Sirloin Beefy is going to be knighted, then Osborne (the Draper) being smarmy....

Glad I missed The Badger... the shower was calling
