Ronnie Hazlehurst, the composer behind the theme tunes to television programmes Last of the Summer Wine and Blankety Blank, has died today aged 79. His partner Jean Fitzgerald said he died peacefully at Princess Elizabeth Hospital in Guernsey, where he was admitted last week after suffering a stroke.
