Just had to get this off my chest.
1. Nod had part of his bowel removed and he has a colostomy
2. They did an “old fashioned “ version of the op which didn’t seal up his arsehole (involves a tricky skin graft)
3. He therefore emits nameless fluids from his arse and has to wear incontinence pants 24 hours a day
4. He is now permanently catheterised and has a bag of pee strapped to his leg
5. He is skin and bone so keeps his heating on at about 26 degrees at all times
6. He has no shower and cannot get in or out of a bath
Entering his flat is like walking into an elephant stable in a hot climate. The stench is beyond all reason and no one wants to tell him.
Weirdly, he asked me to order some Boss aftershave from Amazon yesterday. It’s £47 for a small bottle. I haven’t the heart to tell him.
I am using my current and temporary hearing loss as an excuse not to go round.
Should I tell him, and if so HOW??

Surely the nurses or whatever should do something about it - for their sake if nothing else...?
