Title: So who's going to replace Starmer
Post by: Grumpmeister on February 08, 2026, 06:36:50 PM
Well so far we are looking at either Rayner who as she was deputy PM at the time of Mandleson's appointment is screwed if it turns out she was copied into even a single email  on the subject or Milliband. Talk about out of the frying pan into the bloody heat pump  Banghead

Stop the world I want to get off.  noooo:

Rayner is the most credible to be leader of the Labour party but also it's hard to see how she could win an election.

FWIW I hope Starmer survives the year but losing two chiefs of staff since the election leaves him very weak if as predicted (what's left of) the local elections are a massacre of Labour councillors.

50:1 at Bet365

(The IMHO unelectable) Rayner is still the favourite
