Title: And so it begins
Post by: Grumpmeister on July 18, 2024, 11:41:43 PM
Riots in Leeds after social services got involved after a neglected child fell/was thrown out of a window as well as in Whitechapel because students were killed in Bangladesh. The police in Leeds appear to have run away screaming.

No official response from either Starmer or Cooper yet, surprise surprise.

But diversity is our strength innit  Banghead

Cooper had responded long before your post

I won't blame Labour after 14 days after 14 years of a different party not properly addressing policing and societal issues

I'd missed Cooper's response when I started the thread. I wasn't blaming Labour either, just stating the facts as I understood them at the time.

This has been a problem long in the making across multiple governments. From Blair opening the immigration floodgates in the name of multiculturalism and cheap workers to cutbacks in police funding meaning that experienced officers haven't been replaced as they leave to the fixation on diversity as opposed to making sure that the most experienced and qualified candidates are recruited regardless of their background as long as they pass the security checks.
