Post by: Nick on February 04, 2022, 03:19:32 PM

Summat about respiratory diseases

They call. They ask questions

I am accepted

Am I happy to travel to UCL in London monthly, all expenses paid and £100 per visit?

So you are going to be either pumped full of experimental medicine or infected with something and then pumped full of experimental medicine that theoretically treats whatever they have given you to see if it is safe for human use....

What could possibly go wrong..  rubschin:

Note to self: Send black suit to cleaners..  noooo:

That was an interesting day out!

The doctor/researcher I am assigned to is Russian.Apparently he did his medical training in the Russian Army  eeek: scared2:

At one point he left the office and then knocked on the door before he came back in  rubschin:

I asked him why. "Army training. You don't want to surprise someone and get shot by mistake" eeek:

No obvious problems so far, seems to have done wonders for my hair and I'm sure the extra arm will come in handy. Maybe BM should sign up for the trial. I wish I knew who keeps calling my name though..

Back   Had the most thorough physical examination I can ever recall having and then about a millionteen tests (Blood/temperature/BP/Oxygen absorption etc) with a very nice nurse eyes:  in a proper nurse uniform and everyfink

Then an injection (vaccine or placebo?) then more tests with said nurse eyes:

Then had to download an app for symptom reporting. Nurse said if I get a chest infection she may have to visit me at home  eyes:

ANd I get paid for this

Came back on the A1 as the M1 appears to be shut  rubschin:

Perhaps I'm being cynical but when clinical trials are cut short like that I'd say it means that either the product has performed well above expectations or they need to get rid of the evidence..  whistle:

I learned that Johnson and Johnson decided that the "Global Vaccination Landscape" has changed.

Apparently people prefer injecting disinfectant and shining lights up their arseholes for some reason

I suspect connected to this story:  https://edition.cnn.com/2023/05/15/health/johnson-johnson-covid-vaccine-end/index.html

J&J's Covid vaccine only had one of those emergency approvals and why spend $squillions getting full approval when (like the Astra Zeneca vaccine) there is a tiny risk of blood clots (compared to if getting the bug) and as J&J found out with baby powder, a limitless supply of people ready to sue.

Maybe, but this was not a Covid vaccine
respiratory syncytial virus (RSV)?

Glaxo got theirs approved earlier this month and then https://endpts.com/jj-halts-huge-study-of-experimental-rsv-vaccine-and-kills-program-in-surprise-decision/
