Following Nod's recent reprieve he has hatched a plan, based on some radio programme he heard, that he must do something new this year. But this runs two ways noooo:
He announced today that he would take me to a Test Match at Trent Bridge this summer to introduce me to the joys of cricket (something I have zero interest in) evil:
In exchange I am taking him to the ballet eveilgrin:

Test match is something worth doing once, you really need to either go with a group determined to get absolutely plastered or have one of those radios so you can hear the commentary

Mrs Nick #1 was a ballet dancer, so I learnt to love it then. Meanwhile, cricket is deeply tedious but there is the advantage of a bar. Nod may suffer more than me angel1
PS The massive advantage of hanging around with (and sharing flats with) loads of fit young female ballet dancers in London in my late teens and twenties was that most of the male dancers were gayers angel1 angel1 eyes:
