Title: How much!
Post by: Just One More on December 14, 2019, 10:16:01 PM
I recently joined Nextdoor.co.uk. For any that don’t know, it’s like a community noticeboard, for sale, for rent, services offered  eyes: etc

Somebody asked what’s the going rate for dog/cat sitting
Person 1 replies saying she charges £23 - £25 per night but is probably more expensive than others because the pets stop in her house and are considered part of the family

Person 2 says he pays more than that, and could he have her details

Person 3 says can he have Person 1’s details too, because he’s just been quoted £1,237 for cat sitting for three weeks… and this is while the cat sitter stops at their house using all facilities etc!

I’m now thinking of changing career.

(the only thing I can think of that is more stupid than paying £1,237 for cat sitting; is cat sitting for somebody and not charging £1,237)  ;)

The kind of person who is daft enough to fork out that much for a live in cat sitter is probably also the sort who would shell out a grand for a tatty rug...

Oh.....hi Nick...  whistle:

We pay £20 a day for a 3 cat kennel (yes I know we only have 2 left) and they get pampered ridiculously

A friend in Cyprus uses Trusted House Sitters (https://www.trustedhousesitters.com/)...

They have people that spend their entire lives flying around the world staying in people's houses and looking after their pets...  eeek:

These people fly all over the world... I think they get free booze and food (and accommodation obvs.), they just pay for the flight...
