All channels, all presenters - I can't stand it anymore.
I would happily live in a news free bubble ..just give me a status update on travel alerts and let me know what the weather may, or may not, chose to do on any given day.
The rest of it and the mercenaries that create and feed from it, can go and spontaneously combust from the hot air and frenzied excitement they manufacture.
This is not just Brexit fatigue. This is everything they do and say and chose to air.
From Robert Preston screaming down a microphone , Laura Kunsberg's warped speech impediment , to some hint just asking someone if they got wet today....which was bad enough but then she followed up with asking the drowned rat how wet they had got!! .
I don' t want to see Mr & Mrs Royal Tee having a bop in South Africa and as for Mr Trumps trumpety ,trumps, trump trump trump .....no.
Greta the Grate ( my god she grates) is being held up as the saviour of the human race. Where is Supernanny when you need her !!!

I literally never watch, listen to or read 'The News' from the UK and I'm sure my health is better for it... cloud9:
When I visit Miss A's they always have Sky News on in the background and the inane drivel irritates me within minutes. Likewise, a mate gave me a lift to Limassol to collect Kia-Ora last week and I was treated to 20 mins of Radio 4 via Forces Radio... cussing:

I'm probably a classic news junkie, have been since my teens. Scan the news on (soon to be ended) teletext before I even get up and catch up with it through the day - even when abroad
Not pretending that's a good thing but to just ignore news seems equally bizarre

One thing I forgot to put into context was his delete your twitter history post. Carson King, the man raised over $1m for a children's hospital with the money for booze sign I mentioned in Fantastic Headlines was investigated by a journalist from his local paper who went back through 8 years of twitter history as a 'standard background check' to find a couple of off colour jokes and that was enough for them to justify smearing daylights out of him, or they would have if King hadn't done the only thing he could have after being confronted by the paper and talked to the local TV news stations before they could print the story.
When he was confronted by the DMR 'journalist' (and I use that term loosely) he was immediately contrite and regretful over the comments which had absolutely nothing to do with the money he raised for the local children's hospital other than they believed they had a scoop and could bring down a local hero. Now I have to ask, in what regard (other than perhaps applying for restricted jobs or an investigation by the security services) would trawling through 8 YEARS worth of twitter comments be standard practice. Carl Benjamin coined the phrase 'Dirty dirty smear merchants' to describe a phenomenon that is becoming more and more prevalent.

The policy was introduced in May 2018, but organisers said there was already an indication it was working - and should be more widely applied.
The research was presented at the British Association for the Study of the Liver (BASL) conference in Glasgow and was based on unpublished data from the city's Alcohol and Drugs Partnership (ADP).
The British Liver Trust said although the results came very soon after the law was introduced and the long term impact was still being studied, they nonetheless had important implications for MUP in England and the rest of the UK.
Scotland was the first country in the world to implement a minimum unit price for alcohol, following a 10-year campaign by health bodies.
It means licensed premises in Scotland cannot sell alcohol below a price which depends on the amount of alcohol contained in the product. It is currently set at 50p per unit of alcohol.

But it simply isn't true, alcohol sales increased as did the number of alcohol related deaths in Scotland overall. The policy is a dismal failure but the BBC is using press releases from anti-alcohol lobby groups to present it as a success and get MUP extended across the RoUK...

This is by no means a unique occurrence, they do it all the time and have been doing it for years. I woke up to it with the 'second hand smoke' scandal which I think I mentioned previously...
The BBC should be completely unbiased and impartial - they have the money and resources to investigate claims such as these but they choose not to.
Of course, this isn't something only the BBC do, similar stories can be found this week in the 'newspapers' and other TV channels so the public get wall to wall coverage of something that simply isn't true.
And that is why I never watch, read or listen to the MSM. ;)

And the BBC is supposed to be an impartial news source... This isn't news, this is just propaganda... People getting their 'news' from the BBC will be lead to believe this is the truth - because the BBC said so - when it clearly and plainly isn't...
It isn't the BBC's job to spout propaganda from any campaign group that sends it a press release...
...and you can bet your life that if a pro-alcohol group sent them a press release saying, "MUP hasn't worked in Scotland, deaths up, alcohol sales up" it would have gone straight in the bin...

No, the dishonesty is not looking at the actual results and reporting that it is bollox and deaths have increased as have alcohol sales. You know, a bit of investigative journalism.
If they received a study saying the Moon appears to be made of cheese would they report that too...?
Remember that unlike the other media the public are forced to pay for this via the telly tax.
The BBC is duty bound to report the news, not spew out press releases from lobby groups.
